AIMEE NEWCOMBE | INDEPENDENT DESIGNER ORIGAMI OWL

It's official, I'm super excited to share my new adventure!! Let me tell you all about it and how it also ties into my love of photography.... ;)

My BF re-introduced me to Origami Owl. She had a beautiful new Living Locket that was customized just for her--an awesome X-mas gift from her little girl.  I immediately fell in love.  I also had been looking for unique jewelry to offer my clients when they asked for "accessory" ideas for their photo sessions. I knew I ran across Origami Owl in my search before, but didn't Pin it & lost it! :-/ The internet can be a vast sea of awesomeness, and sometimes you just lose the cool things you find. Gotta' love Pinterest for helping with that situation!! ;)

I knew I wanted something that you could personalize, maybe even something that
was stamped with names, initials or inspiring words.  I'm a sucker for anything that I can personalize and make my own style, and figured most women like that kind of stuff too.

A fun piece that would give little details of "you" and what you loved and made you smile. A piece that would tell your "Story" and was meaningful....the same as what I aspired for my photo sessions. The two just seemed to tie together perfectly, and I knew Origami Owl was a great find! ;) They even have a CAMERA charm!!

My BF also mentioned that she was going to start selling it. She told me to check it out as well, and we both knew it would be a lot of FUN to offer a product that was such a great concept! I LOVE an item you can customize and put a personal touch on ~ whether for yourself or as a gift for someone else. An affordable item is also a huge bonus!!

I started researching the company as well. The first thing I read was the Origami Owl Mission Statement: "TO BE A FORCE FOR GOOD; TO LOVE, INSPIRE + MOTIVATE WOMEN OF ALL AGES TO REACH THEIR DREAMS + EMPOWER THEM TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS."

WOW. Hooked again. I'm a mama of 4 kiddos, two girls and twin boys. I knew my girls 8 & 11 would adore these necklaces, and what an awesome way to incorporate my FAMILY and values into my work?!? Not to mention the fact of bringing in extra income.  It was a no-brainer for me....and here we are!!! Origami Owl pays one of the highest personal commissions in the home party industry (50% on charms, plates and dangles + 30% on all other jewelry). Sah-weet!

I'm definitely a no-pressure sales person. My photography business is my first business, and that has been successful strictly on referrals and Facebook marketing. All free and based on quality work that I put my entire HEART into.

That all being said; I still would love to share this awesome opportunity without it being a "sales" pitch. Here is the link to my Origami Owl website. Please don't feel pressured to buy anything, but definitely check it out. Even if Origami Owl doesn't seem like something you're interested in, maybe pass it on to a friend or share this blog post!
